Love Island, the show that has taken over Britain’s homes over the last month and a half has left the nation waiting for that hour’s slot from 9pm so they can get their Love Island fix. The show, which is a reality dating show, started with 13 participants in a villa in Majorca and each week choose whether to remain in the couple they were in originally or to re-couple with a new contestant to battle it out for the winner’s status and win the £50,000 prize money.
This year’s show features members of the public as opposed to established celebrities and predominately features contestants between the age of 20-23 however the eldest being 31.
Contestants have had their fair share of ups and downs, tears and romances but the show is proving ever popular as an estimated 1.2 million people are tuning into this season.
There is no doubt that this year’s Love Island has got us feeling in the mood for a relaxing vacation somewhere far away with nothing but sun, sea, sand and palm trees.
