Popular radio and television presenter Chris Evans launched a novel charity project recently called the FAB1 Million. It is intended to run for a year, during which it hopes to raise £1,000,000 for Breast Cancer Care.

Chris and his celebrity co-drivers Gary Barlow, James May and Professor Brian Cox, recently drove a pink Rolls-Royce from Land’s End to John O’Groats. The Rolls-Royce Ghost, which is at the heart of the campaign, bears the famous FAB 1 registration that many people will remember from the iconic pink Rolls owned by Lady Penelope in the 1960s TV series Thunderbirds.

Rolls-Royce has donated the Ghost to the campaign for at least 12 months, and funds will be raised by hiring the unique vehicle out to paying customers.

Chris Evans owns the FAB 1 number plate, and he is making it available for use on the Rolls for the duration of the campaign. Chris says: “FAB1 Million aims to raise a million pounds for breast cancer. It’s as simple as that. You can hire the most famous Rolls-Royce in the world as the icing on the cake to whatever special event you are attending or celebrating knowing that you are donating to a very worthy cause in the process. It’s a win win situation.”

You can currently see FAB 1 in a display in Harrods London
